SharePoint utilities: "filling in the gaps"

I found this interesting resource on a newsletter now that I'm starting to deal with the hundreds of mails in my inbox.  I thought this was worth sharing.  We get a lot of feedback from people who install SharePoint and then don't know where to start to create a good quality site.  There are a fair few utilities here for you to have a play with.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007)  Features, tools and utilities supporting Forms Based Authentication.  Here is where you'll find MOSS Features, tools and utilities that fill in the gaps the SharePoint product group left behind.

SharePoint Tips Utility Pack is a package of utilities for the administrator\ developer\ deployer of SharePoint 2007 and WSSv3.
Originally each tool was written to quickly solve a specific problem in a SharePoint deployment project, it can now be viewed as a code sample for SharePoint coding on various tasks.
It includes:

  • A tool to recursively delete sites
  • A tool to create a list in multiple sites at once
  • A tool to modify field settings - some internal settings that you cannot modify in the regular interface, and the option to modify lists with the same name in multiple sites at once
  • A tool to push a web part to multiple sites (a specific page in each site) at once
  • (in beta) a tool to manage list event handlers (register and remove event handlers from lists)

Useful tools to add to your SharePoint site...
