Migrating your anti spam settings to Exchange

Now this is useful.  You've spent all this time configuring your Exchange 2003 server to be as effective as possible in preventing spam from reaching your users inboxes, and now you're going to Exchange 2007 with the prospect of doing all that work again!  Well, there's an Exchange 2007 Anti Spam Migration Tool which is a tool that helps administrators to migrate anti-spam settings from their Exchange 2003 environment to Exchange 2007 environment.

Very handy indeed...

Hi

Will the spam filter in Exchange 2007 work with a cluster setup?

Marcus,

It's a good idea to place the anti spam filter on the Edge server role so that mail is filtered before it gets to the users mailbox.  It doesn't matter what mailbox consifiguration you have as message hygiene occurs at the edge.  Have a look at this document for more information: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/articles/e2k7getstarted.mspx
